Bonnie Nye, M.D.

Many of you may know Dr. Nye as she is a native of Chester County and practiced locally in 1997-98 as a primary care adolescent and internal medicine specialist. Known regionally for her special expertise in Sports Medicine, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia recruited her in 1998 to design, build and lead the nation’s first interdisci- plinary pediatric sports medicine program. In the ten years that have followed Bonnie Nye, M.D. discovered her passion and talents for the treatment of sport medicine injuries. Her skills have allowed her to become regionally and nationally recognized for her clinical expertise in a number of sports medicine disciplines to include:

Dr. Nye graduated from West Chester University with a degree in Health Education. She attended medical school at The University of Pennsylvania, graduating in 1988. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Reading Hospital and Medical Center. From 1991 to 1997, she served as the Assistant Director of Medicine at RHMC, where she provided teaching and management support for their multiple physician training programs. In 1997 Dr. Nye also completed her subspecialty boards in Adolescent Medicine.

Dr. Nye lives in Chester County where she and her husband Bob have raised three children known locally for their national level athletic achievements. She and her husband can be regularly seen running the Struble Trail and attending local youth sports events.

As a subspecialty physician in sports and prevention medicine, Dr. Nye is excited to ‘be back home’ and is very much looking forward to caring for elite and recreational athletes of all ages, as well as, patients who are seeking to be healthier. We are excited to team with her to bring new areas of expertise to our community.
